O'Briain Beary Architects were established in 2001. The practice is led by Michael Beary and Esmonde O'Briain. It has an established track record in the healthcare, public sector, residential and commercial fields with current workload including public buildings, hospital renovation, apartment schemes and large scale housing master plans. The practice has a record of competition winning and award winning projects, most notably the Westport Civic Offices International Competition.

The practice is structured around a consistent core of motivated and capable project architects, directed and supported at all stages by the two directors. The office currently employs ten qualified architects and has a balanced portfolio of public sector and private sector work, building on a reputation for excellence in both design and project management.
